Rising Careers Youth Workforce Program
The Rising Careers Youth Workforce Program is a hands-on career exposure and workforce development program for Portsmouth teens. Participants will not simply sit in a classroom and listen to presentations. They will visit businesses, tour job sites, speak with engineers and other professionals, observe businesses in action, and learn directly from people working in real career fields.
Through workplace visits, career conversations, mentoring, workforce readiness training, mindfulness, and stipend-based participation, teens will build professional habits, communication skills, confidence, and a stronger understanding of the opportunities available to them. The program helps youth see how careers are built in the real world and gives them a pathway toward employment, leadership, and future economic success.
